About Us

The Taube Center for the Renewal of Jewish Life in Poland was established by the Taube Foundation for Jewish Life & Culture in 2009 to serve as its representative office in Poland, to oversee its educational and cultural heritage tourism program and support its Jewish Heritage Initiative in Poland (JHIP). The Taube Center shares its office with the Jewish Genealogy & Family Heritage Center, a department of the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw.

The Taube Center for the Renewal of Jewish Life in Poland Foundation was registered in 2009 as a Polish legal entity (KRS No. 0000 332382) to promote the following statutory goals:

  • Sustaining the development of Jewish life in Poland;
  • Deepening knowledge about Polish Jewry in Poland and abroad; and,
  • Promoting mutual understanding between Jews and non-Jews in Poland and abroad.

The Center’s flagship program, Taube Jewish Heritage Tour Program, offers custom-designed study tours for individuals, families and groups. The tour program and the Center’s educational projects, including Mi Dor Le Dor, and programs coordinated with its partner organizations, provide platforms for Jews and non-Jews in Poland and their peers from abroad to share personal experiences and communal narratives. These initiatives, which cross cultures, borders and time zones, offer unique insights into Poland, linking Jews around the world with their Ashkenazi roots, strengthening Jewish identity, ensuring communal continuity and enhancing a sense of Jewish peoplehood.
