Second Edition of Jerusza

Second Edition of Jerusza

Last week, the Taube Center Foundation hosted the first Zoom meeting of this year’s Jerusza program. It's our second edition of the project, in which 10 participants representing different backgrounds and institutions in Poland get a chance to connect with each other, exchange experiences in building and maintaining the Jewish community in their respective cities, and this time also learn new approaches to education.

During the meeting, led by our Program Director Marta Eichelberger-Jankowska, Jerusza's participants had a chance to introduce themselves, discuss what brings them joy and satisfaction in their field of work, and talk about the recent challenges that their communities are currently facing due to COVID 19. The discussion was followed by group reading and discussion of a fragment of the Torah.

The Jerusza project was created by the Taube Center educational team in response to a need, voiced in the community, of a program that would be designed for Polish Jews with their unique specificity. The goal is to work on our communication skills, envision the community we want to be building and to support the idea of its sustainability.
